3 Ways to Wear A Jumpsuit for Fall

With fall in full swing, finding new and exciting pieces to jazz up your wardrobe while also dressing for the bipolar Chicago weather can be difficult. While I’m totally guilty of wearing boyfriend jeans, a big sweater and my fav booties like, 90% of the time, I’m also a huge advocate for the trendy and ever-classic piece of the season: jumpsuits. The revival of the jumpsuit for fall is back and better than ever — even though we know our moms rocked ’em in the 80s, too — and that means it’s YOUR turn to strut your stuff! That’s where I come in: I’m here to show you that whether it’s for a night out of drinks with friends, a daytime rooftop party, or a casual hangout, jumpsuits are perfect for any occasion! Read on to see my top 3 styling tips for the trend of the season and how you can recreate them with your own personal style!

  1. Casual Hangout

Jumpsuits don’t have to be for formal occasions only! As seen in this look, dressing down a jumper for your everyday errands is as simple as pairing it with our It’s Been Twisted Sweater, ankle booties and, of course, ACCESSORIES! Here, I decided to pair my super comfy cotton black romper with an aqua statement necklace and clutch bag to give it a fun pop of color and Voila! The finished product is polished yet easy to move in. Bonus points: it took less time to throw this together than choosing what shirt to wear with what bottoms. WIN.

2. Daytime Rooftop Party

This Show Your Stripes long-sleeved jumpsuit is perfect for the changing weather and gives you the best of both worlds — you can show off your legs but keep warm with the long, flowy sleeves. Not only that, but it’s an adorable look for a semi-formal daytime party! I kept this look somewhat causal by pairing it with a felt hat (OBSESSED with these at the moment), tan booties, and simple jewelry. However, if you’re looking to dress this up, nix the hat and bandeau underneath and put on your fav pair of pumps for a fun night out!

3. Night out of Drinks with Friends

Someone call an ambulance because this lil’ number is ON FIRE! Seriously, though: this Night Owl jumpsuit is bomb. If you’re looking to turn some heads that night then look no further because this jumpsuit is calling your name. With this ensemble, I stuck to minimal jewelry (the gorgeous neckline speaks for itself) and then finished it off  with my favorite pair of strappy heels. Who said playing dress-up was for little girls!?

I love jumpsuits so I am glad that it can actually be transitioned into different seasons. The last look is my fave though, that pantsuit is fab!
