My name is Kristi Pawlowicz and I am the main gal behind 522 Envy!

First of all, I want to thank you for visiting our website! We have been working tirelessly to turn this website into a virtual storefront for you, and we are so excited to use this space as a way to show you the personal side of 522 Envy– including fashion, lifestyle, DIY, and what inspires us.

You can find me at the Chicago office at least 6 days a week, and if I’m not there, I’m hosting pop-ups all over the city on a weekly basis. I also sometimes dabble behind the camera, but usually not in front of it– I leave that job to my amazing staff-turned-models!! (We all do a little of everything around here!)

I “officially” became an entrepreneur in September 2013 at the age of 24 when I opened the storefront 522 Envy in Downtown Evanston. Although, my brothers would be quick to correct you that my first entrepreneurial experience was when we all convinced our neighbors to buy homemade chips+peanut butter sandwiches in our front yard. My journey to “Business Owner Kristi” started in college while I attended the University of Missouri and I took a part-time job at a boutique called Envy. I went from Sales Associate, to Co-Manager, to Store Manager, and then in 2013 I opened my own Envy in Evanston under an extremely collaborative and supportive licencing agreement. In the spring of 2015, it was time to become independent, and build my dream store and online boutique,!

Since opening a boutique in 2013, we have transitioned entirely online, all due to the feedback from my customers who now span across the United States. I am so grateful that this business has allowed me to be able to meet so many people on a personal level, here in Chicago and virtually throughout the country. My goal has always been to make 522 Envy your favorite boutique– so if you ever have a suggestion, I’m all ears!

Female entrepreneur

I am extremely passionate about the entrepreneurial lifestyle, although I know from experience that it is unorthodox and complicated. Because of that reality, I began guest blogging on sites such as She Owns It, Women on Business, Hera Hub, and PR in your Pajamas. I offer women entrepreneurs a slice of my daily lifestyle, personal struggles and triumphs, career tips and even product suggestions. I love meeting other women in my same shoes as myself, because we can all learn so much from each other!

Whether you shop from the other side of the country, or right here in Chicago, I can never say thank you enough– it is because of all of you that I am able to come to my dream job every day! I am truly living my American Dream!

All my best,

Kristi Pawlowicz
